About Bertan
I am a Civil and Structural Engineering graduate with over 4 years of industry experience. During my time in the field, I found great satisfaction in mentoring junior engineers, guiding them through essential structural engineering principles. This experience ignited my passion for teaching and led me to start tutoring GCSE students two years ago. Recently, I transitioned into a role as a full-time maths teacher, driven by my commitment to making learning accessible and relevant.
I design my lessons to fit each student’s unique needs, helping them understand not just how to solve problems, but why they are learning maths and how it can be applied across various career paths. Whatever your future ambitions, I’ll show you the value of maths in a real-world context.

Currently working as a Maths teacher, I am passionate about making mathematics accessible and demonstrating its practical applications in the real world.
As an engineer and a tutor, I am an expert in breaking down complex GCSE maths concepts into simple, understandable steps, with a strong focus on problem-solving techniques, exam strategies, and real-world applications to ensure students grasp the fundamentals and excel in their exams.
I teach in 1 hour blocks and currently tutor all level up to GCSE with ALevel maths and further maths tutoring coming soon.
