Hello, ciao and hola everyone

Here is Dario, your Spanish and Italian tutor

I’m a qualified teacher (QTS) based in the UK, and I’ve been tutoring for more than 6 years. I have experience teaching both Spanish and Italian up to GCSE level, helping students prepare for exams with confidence and clarity.

I’ve taught Spanish and Italian in-person in Canada and Spain, and I’ve also worked with U.S. college students across A1 to B2 levels. In addition to tutoring, I have real classroom teaching experience in the UK, working with secondary students and tailoring lessons to support different learning needs.

I’m patient, flexible, and I make sure that language learning is not just effective but enjoyable. And who knows, maybe you’ll take away a few tasty recipes along the way. Risotto anyone

I lived in Spain in a professional capacity for six years and even owned and ran a restaurant in Madrid for two of them. I was born in Sicily and raised in Milan, and I studied foreign languages and tourism at Università Cattolica. My lessons reflect both my academic background and my real-life experience with language and culture.

About the lesson

I am graduated in languages and tourism. I have 6 years of tutoring experience.

I will prepare interesting conversational topics and introduce many cultural information to keep the student motivated and interested in the language.
Extended focus on grammar rules often slowed progress, so I usually know how to balance between practicing speaking
and writing.

I have an in-depth knowledge of grammar and can teach the basics at Key Stage 3 up to advanced tenses such as the subjunctive at A' level. A' level students will have more extensive knowledge on grammar and know most tenses, have fluency in speaking, including the ability to talk about cultural and social issues.
Writing will come from short texts to complex magazine and newspaper, articles selected and provided by me from different sources.
A’ level students will also enjoy studying literature and film. Having worked in hospitality industry with apprentices of every skill level, I am able to deliver the culture, writing and reading elements of the A’ level curriculum
I also find the use of context approach to be powerful in instructing A’ level students.
I can prepare students for DELE and CILS exams.
