About Fatima

I’m an exchange student at the University of Edinburgh, originally from Rome, where I study Oriental Languages. I’ll be staying in Edinburgh for a year and would love to share my passion for languages with new learners. I hold a C1 level of English, certified by IELTS, and I know from experience that learning a new language isn’t easy: it takes time, patience, and the right approach. I truly believe that speaking is the hardest yet most rewarding skill to master. It involves listening carefully, connecting sounds to familiar words in your mind, and producing the right pronunciation naturally. My goal is to guide you through this journey in a way that’s engaging, light, and effective — never heavy or boring.

About the lesson

I’m here to help you become a confident and fluent Italian speaker, so next time you’re in Italy, you’ll actually understand if the waiter is insulting you when you order your “Alfredo” Jokes aside, I’m ready to create a personalised study plan tailored to your level and goals — whether you’re starting from scratch, brushing up your skills, or preparing for an exam. My friendly suggestion (as a language learner) is to dedicate at least 3 hours a week to learning this language, as fluency comes with consistency and practice. Of course, there’s no minimum number of hours you have to book!
