About Devon
With over eight years of Chinese language study, I have developed a deep understanding of both the language and the learning process, which positions me well as a tutor. I am a determined, sympathetic, and an easy-to-understand communicator. As a tutor, I prioritize patience, clarity, and the ability to simplify complex concepts, ensuring that students feel supported and confident in their progress. My goal is to foster an encouraging learning environment where students can develop both language proficiency and cultural understanding.

My teaching style utilizes structures and colloquial phrases for entry level Mandarin speakers to make use of. A typical lesson will consist of a basic conversation (in Mandarin), listening exercises, then making use of writing through translation. My lessons are great for people trying to begin their Mandarin Journey.
