About Ariane

I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics, and I have 5 years of experience teaching chess to students of different levels. My interest in chess began with a fascination for logical thinking and strategy, which later developed into teaching. Over the years, I have helped many students improve their understanding of the game and build confidence through structured lessons.

My teaching style focuses on simplicity, clarity, and steady progress. I believe students learn best when concepts are explained clearly and practiced regularly. I use step-by-step explanations, puzzles, and guided gameplay to help students understand and improve. I also encourage students to think independently and explore different strategies.

Outside of teaching, I continue studying chess games and solving puzzles to improve my knowledge. This helps me bring fresh ideas into my lessons. Teaching chess is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students develop strong thinking skills and confidence.

About the lesson

Chess becomes more interesting when students understand how to plan their moves instead of reacting randomly. My lessons focus on building strong basics such as piece coordination, simple tactics, and understanding positions clearly. I explain each idea in a simple and structured way so students can follow comfortably and apply it during games. Each lesson includes puzzles, guided play, and position analysis that help students improve step by step. I create a calm and focused environment where students feel comfortable learning and asking questions.

Beginners start with understanding piece movements, basic rules, and simple checkmate patterns. Intermediate learners work on tactics, opening ideas, and improving their ability to plan ahead. Advanced students focus on deeper strategies, positional understanding, and game analysis. I adjust lessons based on each student’s level and provide regular feedback to support progress.

Learning chess helps students improve concentration, patience, and logical thinking. As students progress, they become more confident in making decisions and solving problems. Many learners also notice improved focus in other areas. My goal is to make chess learning clear, engaging, and rewarding.
