About Jessica

Chemistry tutor with 8 years of experience teaching advanced high school and college students. Have successfully taught around 250 students, helping many prepare for competitive exams, research projects, and university-level chemistry. My teaching philosophy is built on analytical reasoning and experimental thinking. I focus on building strong conceptual foundations while encouraging independent problem-solving. Notable achievements include helping over 40 students secure top ranks in national chemistry olympiads and guiding several to publish research papers. I create a supportive, intellectually stimulating environment where questions are celebrated. I keep detailed records of each session to track progress and adjust methods as needed. Whether you are preparing for competitive exams or pursuing research, I tailor every lesson to your specific goals.

My teaching approach for Chemistry and related subjects is built on analytical thinking, experimental reasoning, and deep conceptual understanding. I connect every chemical concept to industrial and research applications, so you see the bigger picture behind each reaction. We break down advanced topics like reaction mechanisms, spectroscopy, and quantum chemistry into logical sequences. I encourage creative thinking by asking you to design synthetic routes and predict products. Motivation comes from setting research-style goals, solving competitive exam problems, and celebrating each breakthrough. Integrity means I give honest feedback, never gloss over gaps, and always respect your learning style. For Chemistry, we cover organic reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry, pericyclic reactions, organometallics, chemical thermodynamics, kinetics, quantum chemistry, spectroscopy (IR, NMR, Mass), chromatography, electrochemistry, and surface chemistry. We also work on lab design, data interpretation, and scientific writing. I also teach related subjects that support your chemistry mastery: Physics for Chemistry – quantum mechanics and spectroscopy principles. Mathematics for Chemistry – differential equations and linear algebra for kinetics. Biology for Chemistry – biochemistry and drug design. In every lesson, I use case studies from published research and my own students. For example, I show how one student mastered NMR interpretation using a systematic table method, then we apply that to your current spectra. I share stories of students who improved problem-solving by practicing retrosynthesis daily. My sessions are interactive and research-driven. We solve advanced problems, analyse spectra, propose mechanisms, and discuss recent discoveries. I assign homework like synthesising a target molecule on paper, interpreting an unknown spectrum, or reading a short paper and summarising it. I adapt my pace to your goals, whether for exams, research, or olympiads. I never compare you to others, only to your previous self. I keep detailed notes of each lesson so we always build on what we did before. My goal is to make you a confident, independent, and research-ready chemist.
