About Dalette

Hey my name is Dalette and I am currently a fourth year chemistry student at university.

I have always been passionate about science, and my love for chemistry truly blossomed during college. The content felt fresh and more exciting compared to GCSE, and I found myself learning in a more engaging and meaningful way. I also deeply admired my teachers, which inspired me to consider a career in education.

I genuinely enjoy helping students through science, supporting them in reaching their full potential, and fostering their own interest in the subject. Watching their confidence grow as they explore and understand chemistry is incredibly rewarding. Tutoring while pursuing my degree has allowed me to share my enthusiasm for science while developing valuable skills for university and my future career.

With three years of experience teaching A-level and GCSE chemistry, I have developed a strong understanding of the curriculum and effective methods for helping students succeed. I excel at breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and tailoring my teaching approach to suit individual learning styles. Whether focusing on challenging topics or refining exam techniques, I am dedicated to supporting students in reaching their full potential.

About the lesson

To help you achieve your learning goals, I offer personalized online video chat sessions where we can discuss your needs and create a plan tailored to your specific goals. Whether it’s revising, learning new concepts, or preparing for exams, I adapt my approach to match your exam board and learning style.

In a typical session, we start with the basics of the topic and build upon that foundation. Once you’re comfortable with the fundamentals, we’ll move on to practice questions. By the end of the lesson, the goal is for you to feel confident tackling similar questions independently. I strive to make lessons interactive and engaging, ensuring you gain the most from our time together.

Lesson Duration
GCSE and Lower Grades: 1 hour
A-Level: 1 hour or 1.5 hours, depending on your workload and exam preparation needs.

My Experience
With three years of tutoring experience, including tutoring in schools and working with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) students, I’ve developed the skills to support a wide range of learners. I’m confident in my ability to guide and inspire students to reach their potential.
