About Tom
I am a chemistry undergraduate in the University of Manchester, I did Maths, Physics and Chemistry for my A-levels. I was a tutor during this time to two students a year below me, the supervisor of our sessions and
their teachers said their work and understanding had noticeably improved with my sessions. I've also had a lot of experience with extracurricular activities and competitions and I often did well.

I'm currently a first year undergraduate, I can teach Maths, Physics and Chemistry for anything up to A level standard, I also did very well at GCSE for all the sciences and Maths and I often read around my subjects so tuition on other science subjects shouldn't be a problem, I'm happy to read any specifications and reaffirm myself with any content or techniques you will need to ensure you get a full understanding. I normally ask a student to bring work they struggled with or questions they didn't understand and I'll go through the work, see how they approach a problem or question and find what they might be missing, whether its content, understanding or technique. I'll then focus on that topic or technique until they understand, give them questions with a similar premise and I'll work through it with them till they get it on their own, and I'll give them some practice questions and show them how to find more. I found this method seems to work well because it often finds a deeper root of something they didn't understand and allows them to build a more solid foundation of knowledge and helps them progress in their learning.
