About Joel
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and have experience tutoring both chemistry and math as a college peer tutor. Having worked with students from a variety of academic backgrounds and learning styles, I understand that everyone learns differently. My goal is to create a supportive, professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing confidence, and building a strong understanding of chemistry.

Every lesson is tailored to the student's goals and learning style. Using my iPad as a virtual whiteboard, I explain concepts visually while working through problems step by step. I encourage students to actively participate by answering questions throughout the lesson, as I believe this reinforces understanding and builds confidence. If students have specific homework problems or topics they're struggling with, I encourage them to bring those to our sessions so we can address their individual needs. As a former peer tutor in college, I have experience helping students with both general and organic chemistry and adapting my teaching approach to a variety of learning styles. My lessons are ideal for high school and undergraduate students looking to strengthen their understanding of chemistry, prepare for exams, or improve their problem-solving skills.
