About Hafsa

Since 2016, I have been tutoring to support my tuition fees while I was in university. Recently, I have also started formal online tutoring as well as teaching secondary science full-time in London for the past 2 years. My postgraduate teacher training has equipped me with valuable skills in curriculum development, time management, and adapting my teaching methodology to meet the individual needs of my students. I have experience in teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics up to the GCSE level, both in-person and online. Many of my students have praised my work ethic and witnessed my unwavering passion for science, which has resulted in their successful outcomes.

About the lesson

As someone with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Science, and 2 years of teaching experience, including tutoring throughout my university years, I have honed my natural talent for teaching. My experiences in both formal teaching and tutoring have taught me how to tackle problems one at a time, using examples that encourage students to think outside the box, ultimately providing them with a deep understanding and clear explanations.

My teaching methodology is centered around two key principles: skill development and adaptation. I start by creating a customised framework that aligns with the preferred curriculum, and then I adapt my lessons based on the unique needs and knowledge level of each student. Drawing on my experience as a teacher, I am skilled at tailoring my approach to meet the individual needs of my students, providing personalised guidance and support. I place a strong emphasis on developing analytical and scientific abilities, alongside building knowledge. To achieve this, I utilise a variety of resources such as worksheets, class tasks, and past papers, as well as real-world examples that help students apply their knowledge to practical situations.

Furthermore, I believe in maintaining open communication with parents and providing regular feedback on their child's progress. I understand the importance of involving parents in their child's education journey, and I strive to keep them informed and engaged in the learning process.

Overall, my approach to teaching is dynamic and student-centric, aiming to empower my students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed. Whether it's through formal teaching or tutoring, I am dedicated to helping my students achieve their full potential and excel in their academic endeavors.

I teach GCSE and KS3 Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Each lesson lasts 1 hour and double lessons can be booked.
