About Muhammad

Struggling with GCSE or A-Level Chemistry? Whether it's moles, organic chemistry, physical chemistry or exam technique — you're in the right place.
I'm Luqman — a qualified Chemistry teacher (QTS) with nearly 10 years of experience helping GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level students go from confused to confident. I currently teach at a grammar school and have also served as Head of Chemistry, so I know exactly what top schools expect — and how to get your child there.
A-Level is my speciality. I cover all major exam boards — AQA, OCR, and Edexcel — so whatever specification you're following, I know it inside out. From transition metals and equilibria to organic synthesis and mechanisms, I'll make the hardest topics click.
My lessons are:
Structured around your weak spots, not a generic plan
Interactive — using clear visual notes, worked examples, and real past paper questions
Delivered live on Zoom, 1-to-1, so you get my full attention

I break every topic into manageable steps, explain the why behind each concept, and build your exam technique so you know how to pick up marks — even on the tricky questions.
I've helped students across the UK and worldwide achieve top grades. Whether your exam is months away or weeks away, we'll put together a plan that works.

Every lesson is built around one goal: making sure you actually understand — not just memorise.
A lot of students come to me having sat through hours of lessons and still feeling lost. That's usually because no one stopped to check whether the material had truly landed. I do things differently.
How my lessons work
Every session is interactive from start to finish. I use ClassPoint AI to run live understanding checks throughout the lesson — so if something hasn't clicked, we catch it immediately and fix it, rather than carrying a gap forward for weeks. No more nodding along and hoping for the best.
I teach using GoodNotes and notability, building clear, visual, step-by-step notes in real time so you can see exactly how my thinking works — and revisit everything after the lesson. Nothing gets rushed, and nothing gets left unexplained.
Past paper questions are woven into every session — not saved for the end of the topic. This means you're constantly practising how to apply what you've learned in the way the examiner actually wants to see it.
The examiner advantage
Here's what makes my feedback different: I have worked as a Chemistry examiner, which means I know precisely how mark schemes work, what examiners are looking for, and — crucially — where students throw away marks without realising it. When I correct your work, I'm not guessing. I can pinpoint exactly why an answer didn't score full marks and show you how to fix it. Misconceptions get addressed at the root, not papered over.
What a typical lesson looks like

A quick recap to reinforce the previous session
Clear explanation of the new topic with visual notes
Worked examples done together, step by step
Live understanding checks using ClassPoint AI
Targeted past paper questions with examiner-level feedback
A summary of what to review before the next session

By the end of each lesson, you'll know exactly what you've learned, what you still need to work on, and how to tackle it. That clarity is what turns progress from a hope into a habit.
