my method is simple. learn concepts well and practise. I generally sit with students and solve problems/exercises together. Another method I find to be useful is to ask students to explain what they understand about different concepts and revise the troubling concepts until crystal clear.

Majid Tutored my son GCSE maths and he was ver good at it.
