About Sazini
I am a chemical engineer with a passion for numbers. I currently work in the research industry where I specialize in hydrometallurgy. I normally teach maths to my children and my colleagues, who are currently studying. I have 9 years’ experience where I started as an intern and now work in middle management. I am skilled in the management of staff in a technical environment where I apply continuous problem solving and improvement of processes. I currently lead a team of engineers and technicians where I have enhanced my skills and knowledge in project management, team motivation, performance management, and technical consultation to ensure that the work we do is of quality and is aligned with the strategic objectives of Mintek and our stakeholders. My key role is to lead the precious metals and uranium team while overseeing the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of metallurgy projects on behalf of the division and its clients, in alignment with industry best practice, client methodology requirements, and the company’s commitment to delivering excellence. The projects I oversee involve objectives such as optimization, improvement, and development of precious metals and uranium operations. I am also involved with marketing in seeking new clients and projects.

I believe that to be good at maths you need to practice, so my method is to do actual questions and explain how I come to the solution. That way you learn and practice at the same time. I like to break down the problem so that it is easier to understand.
