About Aisha

I am Ecuadorian by birth with a British and German background and LOVE languages!

Growing up I was lucky enough to learn both English and Spanish natively and had the awesome opportunity to go to France and learn the language between 2017 and 2019. After the Pandemic, I realised I wanted to relive that enjoyment I had learning French and started my journey to teach English as a Second Language (ESL).

Now, as a starting ESL teacher looking to gain experience I am very excited to share my first native language with you. I am Certified with a 165-hour TEFL Qualification through which I've gained knowledge on teaching the primary skills of ESL: grammar, listening, speaking and reading. I also have over a year of amateur experience teaching to friends.

About the lesson

My main goal is to help students gain confidence in their communication and comprehension skills and to make grammar accessible to those who struggle with it most. I consider myself very flexible with my curriculum planning so if you have a specific linguistic concern you'd like to work on (pronunciation for example), this can be arranged so your lessons fit your personal learning objectives. Adapting my lessons to each of my student's needs is something I take very seriously and I highly encourage new students discuss this with me in detail before we begin.

When designing lessons, I follow TEFL certified plans using resources that are accessible and free for my students. I especially like the worksheets and other sources available on Ellii (formerly known as the ESL Library).

My lessons are all conducted online through Zoom.

Before we start our taster lesson together, I like to begin by meeting my potential students and discussing your goals. This allows me to offer personalised curriculum plans and to get to know you a little too!

This is only a meeting and would not be charged.
