About Kaori

Hi, I'm KAORI, a professional Japanese teacher and Certified International Japanese Coach from Japan. I have taught over 3,000 Japanese lessons to adult learners from a wide range of countries and backgrounds, from complete beginners to advanced learners and business professionals. Over the years, I have worked with students with very different goals—from building a strong foundation in Japanese and preparing for the JLPT to improving professional communication, preparing for job interviews, and developing the confidence to express their own naturally ideas in Japanese. I believe that learning a language is not about speaking perfectly. What matters most is being able to communicate what you truly want to say. My role as a teacher is to help you find the Japanese you need and gradually make it your own. I am also a professional Japanese calligrapher, so Japanese language and culture have always been an important part of both my professional and creative life. Wherever you are in your Japanese learning journey, I look forward to helping you take the next step with confidence.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for adult learners who want to use Japanese confidently in real-life situations—not simply memorize grammar and vocabulary. With over 3,000 lessons of teaching experience, I tailor each lesson to your level, goals, interests, and learning style. I teach learners at all levels, from beginners building a solid foundation in grammar and conversation to advanced learners discussing business, society, culture, and current topics in Japanese. For intermediate and advanced learners, I place particular emphasis on helping you express your own ideas naturally and clearly. Rather than correcting every small mistake, I focus on the vocabulary, expressions, and communication strategies that will make the biggest difference to your Japanese. I also offer Business Japanese, JLPT N1/N2 preparation, Japanese job interview preparation, and personalized speaking practice. My lessons are practical, interactive, and always tailored to what you want to achieve. My goal is simple: to help you move from “I understand Japanese” to “I can actually use Japanese.”
