  • Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

i am speaking this language fluently cause i am a native speaker and also i spent around 18 years studying it at school , and i always had the highest grades in the class and i remember explaining it to my friends when they face a hard time
  • Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

“ Taha Hessin “ “Nageeb Mahfouz” , “Ahmad Shawki”
  • Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

One of the things I particularly love about Arabic—especially Egyptian Arabic—is how expressive and human it is. A simple word like “إن شاء الله (Inshallah)” is not just a phrase; it reflects a whole mindset of hope, faith, and flexibility. Another beautiful habit is how often Egyptians use warm expressions such as “تسلم”, “ربنا يخليك”, or “نورّت”, even in everyday conversations.

What I enjoy most is that the language is deeply connected to emotions, social bonds, and culture. Egyptians don’t just speak Arabic—they live it, using tone, humor, body language, and expressions to communicate meaning beyond words. This is exactly what I focus on in my teaching: helping students understand not only the language itself, but also the culture, mentality, and real-life usage behind it.
  • Why does speaking this language matter to you?

Speaking Arabic matters deeply to me because it is more than just a language—it is my identity, my culture, and the way I connect with people. Arabic carries history, emotions, and values, and through it, stories, traditions, and meanings are passed from one generation to another.

As a teacher, this is exactly why I am passionate about teaching Arabic. I want my students not only to learn words and grammar, but to truly understand how the language is used in real life, how people think, express emotions, and build connections through it. Helping someone communicate confidently in Arabic and feel closer to the culture is extremely rewarding for me.
  • What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

One of the main difficulties in learning Arabic is the wide variety of dialects, which can be confusing for learners, especially at the beginning. Many students also struggle because most learning materials available online focus on Modern Standard Arabic, while there is relatively limited structured and reliable content for spoken dialects such as Egyptian Arabic.

What truly helps the learning process is having guidance from a native speaker who understands both the language and the culture. Using real-life conversations, practical expressions, and context-based learning makes a huge difference. Focusing on listening, speaking, and everyday situations—rather than memorizing rules alone—allows students to gain confidence and communicate naturally. This is the approach I follow in my teaching.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

One moment that truly shaped my approach to teaching Arabic was when I realized how differently the language is taught compared to how it is actually spoken. During my early learning and academic years, Arabic was often presented in a very formal way, while everyday conversations sounded completely different.

Later, when I started teaching and interacting with non-native speakers, many students told me they could read Arabic but struggled to understand people on the street or in real conversations. That was a turning point for me. I understood that learners don’t just need textbooks—they need real language, real situations, and cultural context. This experience is what inspired me to focus on practical, spoken Arabic and help students bridge the gap between theory and real-life communication.
  • How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Traveling within Egypt and interacting with people from different regions has played an important role in deepening my understanding of Arabic, especially its spoken forms. Each city and region has its own expressions, accents, and cultural nuances, and being exposed to these differences helped me appreciate how rich and diverse the language truly is.

These experiences taught me how language adapts to context and daily life, which is something that cannot be fully learned from books alone. This exposure allows me to guide my students more effectively, helping them understand not only Egyptian Arabic, but also how to recognize and adapt to variations in dialect and real-life conversations.
  • What makes you a Superprof in language?

What makes me a Superprof is my ability to combine clear structure with real-life language use. As a native Arabic speaker, I understand not only how the language works, but how it is actually spoken in daily life—especially Egyptian Arabic. I focus on practical communication, helping students speak with confidence rather than feeling stuck in textbooks.

I adapt my lessons to each student’s goals, level, and learning style, and I place strong emphasis on listening, speaking, and cultural understanding. Because there is limited high-quality material available online for Egyptian Arabic, I create my own structured content based on real conversations and authentic situations. My goal is always to make Arabic accessible, enjoyable, and truly usable for my students.
