About Catherine
About Me
Bonjour! My name is Catherine, and I am a certified French teacher in Ontario with experience teaching Core French and French as a Second Language (FSL) in elementary and secondary schools. I completed my education at York University and am currently pursuing a Master of Education in Leadership and Policy.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their French language abilities while developing strong skills in speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar, and vocabulary. As both a classroom teacher and tutor, I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my lessons to meet each learner's individual needs and goals.
My approach is patient, supportive, and engaging. Whether your child needs help with homework, exam preparation, French Immersion support, or simply wants to strengthen their confidence in French, I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and celebrating their progress.
I look forward to helping students achieve success in French while making language learning enjoyable and meaningful.

Bonjour! My name is Catherine Elia, and I am a qualified French teacher and Master of Education candidate specializing in Leadership and Policy. I have experience teaching Core French and supporting students across multiple Ontario school boards.
My tutoring sessions focus on building strong foundations in French while increasing student confidence and motivation. I tailor each lesson to the learner's needs, whether they require homework support, preparation for assessments, conversational practice, or enrichment beyond the classroom.
