About Karissa
I am a fluid artist, author, and resilient survivor whose work is rooted in profound personal transformation. Having overcome the deep trials of growing up in foster care, surviving violence, abuse, and abandonment and making a full recovery after waking from a six-month coma, I paint from a place of deep empathy, strength, and heart. My journey through trauma back to life inspired my brand Uniquely Yours, where I use colorful, flowing art as a sanctuary for healing. Blending over 20 years of background in education with intentional breathwork and mindfulness, I guide others in turning life's heaviest moments into beautiful, restorative creative flow.
