About Ailsa

Originally from Oxford, I have lived in London for 11 years with an 18-month gap teaching in Spain. I trained as a dancer when I was 16 but decided to go in a different direction and travelled to Spain to complete my CertTesol. I have worked in a variety of fields including hospitality and the homelessness sector as well as teaching privately. I love connecting with people from all around the world, sharing cultures, and teaching allows me to support others and work alongside them to get to where they want to.

About the lesson

I offer online and face to face classes for anyone wishing to learn for fun, to communicate more easily or improve job prospects. I am a patient and compassionate teacher and work with my students on what they want to focus on. I am also a language student so I understand how frustrating it can be, and how important it is to create a safe space to practice. I work at an English Language school in Central London where I follow a set curriculum, but I always adapt my lessons to best suit my students. I supply lesson materials from a range of sources as well as my own.

Sou uma professora paciente e compassiva e trabalho com meus alunos naquilo em que eles desejam se concentrar. Eu também sou estudante de idiomas, então entendo como isso pode ser frustrante e como é importante criar um espaço seguro para praticar. Trabalho em uma escola de inglês no centro de Londres, onde sigo um currículo definido, mas sempre adapto minhas aulas para melhor atender aos meus alunos. Eu forneço materiais de aula de diversas fontes, além de minhas próprias.
