About Alison
About Me
Hello! My name is Alison, and I am an experienced private tutor, behavior mentor, and behavior coach with a passion for helping children reach their full potential.
Over the years, I have worked with more than 100 elementary-aged students, providing individualized support in reading, math, social skills, attention, executive functioning, and academic confidence. I specialize in working with children with ADHD, autism, and other learning differences, helping them develop the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
My background combines academic instruction with behavioral support, allowing me to understand not only what a child is struggling with, but also why they may be struggling. This enables me to create personalized learning strategies that match each child's unique strengths and needs.
I believe every child can learn when taught in a way that works for them. My approach is patient, encouraging, and focused on building confidence while making learning engaging and meaningful.
In addition to tutoring, I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology and am passionate about helping children and families navigate learning challenges with confidence and success.
My mission is to help children develop the academic, social, and executive functioning skills they need to become independent, successful learners.

My lessons are one-on-one, personalized sessions designed to meet each child's unique learning needs. Each lesson is 60 minutes long and focuses on building both academic skills and confidence.
During our sessions, I assess your child's strengths and areas of need and create activities that keep them engaged while helping them make meaningful progress. Depending on your child's goals, lessons may include:
Reading comprehension and fluency
Phonemic awareness and decoding skills
Letter recognition and early literacy skills
Math concepts and problem-solving
Executive functioning skills such as organization, planning, and task completion
Attention and focus strategies
Social skills development and communication
Study skills and homework support
I specialize in working with elementary-aged students, including children with ADHD, autism, and other learning differences. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and interactive. I believe children learn best when they feel supported, understood, and successful.
Parents receive regular feedback on their child's progress, and lessons are tailored to help students gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed both in school and in everyday life.
My goal is simple: Help children become confident, capable learners who enjoy learning and believe in themselves.
