I have tutored students age 4-9 over the last 15 years.
I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grade for almost 13 years.
Of all my years teaching, 10 of them have been kindergarten. Teaching phonics is imperative to really learning to read, gaining fluency, and comprehending reading.

My name is Sarah Dunning. I am a certified elementary education teacher. I recently resigned this year to spend more time with my wonderful seven year old daughter. I have experience with pre-k through 4th grade students. My true passion is teaching phonemic awareness, phonics, and fluency.. before it's too late! Students need to have a firm understanding of reading comprehension before moving on to third grade and FSA standardized testing.
