My approach is practical, not just theoretical. I'm a Certified Contracts Specialist with 15+ years of experience (not a licensed attorney, though I attended law school), I hold 2 degrees in the criminal justice field and I teach the way I actually work — reading contracts for risk and enforceability, and connecting criminal justice theory to how it plays out in real cases and systems, not just definitions to memorize.
A typical lesson starts with the core concept — a contract clause like indemnity or limitation of liability, or a criminology theory like deviance or victimology — then applies it to a real clause, case study, or current event so you see how it functions in practice. From there we work through discussion or negotiation angles that build critical thinking. I adjust depth and pace depending on whether you need academic understanding, exam prep, or workplace application.
What sets me apart is direct professional and lived experience most tutors don't have: I've drafted and reviewed contracts across SaaS, construction, education, aviation, and professional services, and I bring firsthand context on how the justice and corrections system actually functions.
My lessons work well for business law, paralegal, or criminology/criminal justice students, professionals moving into contracts or compliance roles, small business owners, and anyone prepping for an exam, paper, or certification in these areas.
