About James

Hi Future Student! I am a native UK Celta-qualified ESL teacher with 8 years experience from Bath, UK. I have taught ESL & IELTS to teenagers and adults in the UK, Malaysia and Indonesia for over 8 years in both institutions and privately. I am a very engaging, friendly, and knowledgeable ESL/IELTS expert who has also developed a number of IELTS products and curricula for large educational organisations throughout South East Asia. As well as tutoring IELTS privately, I have also managed large ESL English centres in Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as conducted numerous IELTS training & product workshops for ESL teachers. At the moment I am building my own education company and teaching IELTS. Along with teaching, I have also held the roles of: - Senior Teacher - Academic Product Manager - National Teacher Manager - Academic Director - Head of Products & Customer Experience My teaching strengths lie in my attention-to-detail, and ability to develop the fluency and accuracy of my students quickly through careful modelling, use of effective CCQs, and positive reinforcement. I am quickly able to build rapport with my students and offer them a sincere, engaging and positive learning environment where they feel comfortable.
