About Elwood
I bring 7 years of ESL teaching experience, working with High School and College students and helping around 150–200 learners achieve their English learning goals. My teaching philosophy is based on flexibility, encouragement, and continuous progress.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit their needs and pace. I use a mix of teaching techniques, including conversations, exercises, and real-life situations, to make lessons practical and engaging. I also focus on building confidence and encouraging students to use English actively.
One of my key achievements is helping students improve their fluency and perform better in exams and presentations. I am dedicated to creating a positive and effective learning experience.

My ESL teaching methodology focuses on creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. I believe that learning should be engaging, so I use creative activities like discussions, storytelling, and practical exercises.
I encourage students to think independently and express their ideas clearly. This builds both confidence and communication skills. As a mentor, I guide students with care and adjust my teaching based on their learning needs.
I also emphasise accountability by setting goals and tracking progress. I encourage students to take responsibility for their learning. Along with ESL, I teach related subjects to support academic growth. My aim is to help students become confident and skilled learners.
