About Jessica

If you are seeking compassionate, applicable, real-world guidance on your next professional step, I would love to work with you! I will get to know your personal values and goals, and help you align these with your career exploration. I will provide you with regular check-ins, resume feedback, and actionable steps to move forward despite roadblocks you may encounter. We will work together to ensure that your personal well-being and values are an integral part of your career exploration journey.

I started my career journey with a Bachelor of Arts in English and then returned to university for my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. I completed my PhD in Energy Science and Engineering, and now work full-time as a career development professional. During my 20+ year career, I have worked in retail, the financial industry, federal facilities, and the non-profit sector. As part of my current role in career development, I’ve developed trainings to help early- and mid-career professionals develop skill sets and peer networks to support career paths both inside and outside of academia. I’ve helped hundreds of professionals, and now I want to help you too!

As a liberal arts major with a STEM PhD who transitioned careers later in life, I am uniquely qualified to understand the professional development and career informational needs of those seeking to make a career transition. My diverse educational and career background gives me personal experience and perspective on unique career exploration journeys which I am excited to share with you as you transition to a new career or explore your options as you continue your education. We will work as a team to achieve your dream!

• Reevaluating your career and personal goals
• Evaluate, reassess, and set SMART-ER goals to push further.
