It is my great pleasure to recommend Kirsten Mackay to become a tutor at this site. Kirsten was a student at Cardiff University and Graduated in the summer of 2020. During her time at the University, she became the Chair of the English Language Student Representatives for the School of English, Communication and Philosophy. I watched Kirsten grow in confidence in her own outstanding abilities. Kirsten chaired a Student Staff Panel with maturity and ease and this opportunity enabled her to develop her decision making, leadership, teamwork and public speaking skills all of which she did with a high standard and professional manner.

During her role as Chair for English Language Student Reps, Kirsten has also helped with student led events, as well as attending academically run Board of Studies meetings and College led meetings within the Students' Union.

Kirsten's communication, organisational and time management skills are exceptional, she has been a huge asset to our School over the last three years. She shone through during her last year of studying with her compassion, calm, friendly, kind, intelligent and approachable manner. She has been a delight to work with and I shall miss working with her. Due to her hard work, she was also nominated for a student led awards ceremony, organised by the Students' Union.
