About Layan

As a student who has received 4 medical school offers who has always been curious about how things work — from how our bodies function to why ecosystems stay in balance. That curiosity naturally led me to study biology, but it’s the human side of learning that made me want to teach it. I know what it’s like to sit in class, feel lost, and think, “Why does this even matter?” — until someone explains it in a way that just clicks. That’s what I aim to do for my students: make biology feel clear, relevant, and even enjoyable. Not just to pass exams (though I’ll help with that too), but to actually understand and connect with the subject. Outside of teaching, I’m into music, running, art, reading and spending time in nature! I bring that same energy and creativity into my lessons. Whether you’re someone who likes structure or someone who learns better through discussion and examples, I adapt to you. I offer tailored 1-to-1 sessions with original notes, explanations that actually make sense, and no pressure — just progress at your pace. If you want someone who’s supportive, real, and cares about your understanding, I’d love to work with you.

About the lesson

Hi! I'm a dedicated Biology tutor with a passion for making complex concepts simple and engaging. I specialise in GCSE and A-level Biology. I have achieved an A* in GCSE Biology and a predicted A* in A-levels and through hosting biology revision sessions have built up a comprehensive understanding of the exam-board, ensuring my students not only understand the content but through exam practice know how to put this understanding into words to ensure they get the marks they need and achieve their goals. I have proven to work both notes and flashcards that I offer that have been created directly from the specification, all for the very affordable price of £15 an hour.
