About Monique

Hi, I’m Monique

I'm a qualified Accountant with real-world experience in audit, financial management, and tax, and a genuine passion for helping others understand numbers in a way that actually makes sense.

I completed my BCompt Accounting degree and went on to complete my SAICA articles, working my way up to audit manager before moving into the construction industry as an accountant. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience across financial accounting, tax, and business operations — not just theory, but how it all works in practice.

I specialize in tutoring Grade 10–12 learners as well as university students who need a strong foundation or a refresher in accounting and related subjects. I know how overwhelming these topics can feel, especially when the basics aren’t fully clear — and that’s exactly where I come in.

My approach is simple: I break down complex concepts into clear, practical explanations, using real-life examples so you can actually understand the work, not just memorize it. I focus on building confidence, improving problem-solving skills, and helping you feel more in control of your studies.

Whether you're trying to pass, improve your marks, or rebuild your understanding from the ground up, I’ll meet you where you are and guide you step by step.

About the lesson

My Methodology:

MAP - We assess any pain points you have with accounting and tax.

DESIGN - I personalise a suggested study approach for you as well as, study material to assist address the pain points you have - this will also include practice questions and past papers.

GROW - You follow the suggested approach, work through the material and questions and with my assistance, you will be equipped with the knowledge to evolve into not just a good Accountant, but a great one!

I am proficient in English and understand Afrikaans.

My lessons are aimed at high school students - specifically Grade 10 - Grade 12. I'm also able to assist university students needing a refresher course on accounting and tax for your studies.
