About Scott
I am a Canadian commercial pilot with training in teaching aviation English and certification as an Aviation English Rater, I offer serious, well-structured, and results-oriented classes.
I am committed to each student's progress, providing ongoing support, clear feedback, and authentic materials that reflect real-life flight situations and communication with controllers. My goal is for each pilot to not only pass the ICAO exam but also gain the confidence to communicate effectively in English within the operational environment.
The combination of my experience in the cockpit and my pedagogical training allows me to offer practical, realistic teaching tailored to each student's level and goals.

Aviation demands precision, clarity, and safety, and these same principles guide my work as a teacher. I offer classes focused on active communication, especially speaking and listening skills, which are the most important in the ICAO language proficiency exam.
My classes are customized to each student's needs and objectives, with a practical approach aimed at developing the English skills necessary to operate safely in non-routine situations. I primarily work with pilots—both students preparing for their first exam and commercial or airline pilots who need to refresh their ICAO English proficiency.
I use real ATC communications recordings and a wide variety of materials and activities to provide authentic practice within an aeronautical context. Drawing on my experience and training, I help each student identify their current level, set a clear goal, and progress step by step toward the ICAO or DGAC proficiency level required.
