Over the years, I've overseen the Spark program to land many of our elite students in schools such as Cornell, Berkeley, Brown, University of Pennsylvania, Yale, and Harvard. I'm dedicated to student growth in all aspects of life, beyond academics and the Spark admissions incubator. About the lesson

We have programs for every high school stage. Whether you’re just starting high school or in your senior year, BrightSpark has a track to fit your needs: Full Spark Program (Start in 10th Grade): A flagship 3-year program that guides students from Grade 10 through Grade 12. This all-inclusive track covers everything – developing a passion project, completing an academic research paper with a mentor, guaranteed internship placement by the summer after Grade 11, one-on-one elite essay coaching, extracurricular leadership development, SAT/academic tutoring, and full college application support. By senior year, you’ll have a cohesive, standout profile ready for Ivy League-level applications. Accelerated Admissions Program (Start in 11th Grade): A condensed 2-year plan for students beginning in Grade 11. It fast-tracks all the elements of the Full Spark program into a shorter timeline. You’ll work intensively in 11th grade to publish a research paper, secure a high-impact summer internship, and receive expert essay coaching so that by early 12th grade, all your essays and applications are ready. This track delivers the same powerful results as Full Spark, just on an accelerated schedule. Early Start Program (Begin in 8th Grade): A long-term development track for ambitious early learners. Starting in Grade 8, students build strong academic foundations, explore various interests with our mentors, and start shaping their extracurricular profile. By Grade 10, you transition into the Full Spark high school program with a head start. This gradual approach lets you deepen your expertise and take on leadership roles sooner, making you exceptionally prepared for competitive admissions down the road. Admissions Essay Coaching (Grades 8-12): A focused essay-only program for students who want expert help with college application essays. You’ll work one-on-one with BrightSpark’s founders (seasoned admissions experts) to brainstorm and craft an unforgettable Common App personal statement, as well as polish all your supplemental essays. This program is ideal if you already have strong academics and activities but need guidance to tell your story effectively. By the end, you’ll have compelling, authentic essays that make your application shine. Research Paper Mentorship: A specialized track for students passionate about academic research. Over the course of a year, we pair you with a mentor (professor or industry expert) in your field of interest to conduct a rigorous research project. From choosing a topic to performing research and writing the paper, you’ll get step-by-step guidance. The goal is to produce a publishable paper by year’s end, which is a remarkable achievement to showcase on college applications. This track is perfect for those who want to delve deep into a subject and gain recognition through published work. Internship Placement Program: A standalone offering for students seeking real-world experience in a professional setting. BrightSpark leverages its network to guarantee an internship placement with a top company, research lab, or organization aligned with your interests. Past students have interned at places like Google, MIT Media Lab, hedge funds, and leading universities’ research centers. Through this program, you’ll gain hands-on skills, impressive work experience, and networking opportunities – all of which give you a competitive edge in college admissions and future careers. (Note: This track has high entry requirements and is often pursued by students in our Full Spark/Accelerated programs.)
