About Abigail

Language learning is rarely about memorizing vocabulary lists as many people assume. Teaching 91 students has shown me that true proficiency comes from understanding how idioms and expressions function within a living culture.
I entered this field to share the nuances of French that textbooks often ignore, blending my formal MA TESOL and BA degrees with my personal journey as a bilingual Australian. My approach focuses on reading comprehension and business French to help you navigate real scenarios. I spend time helping intermediate learners bridge the gap between basic sentences and complex thoughts.
It is interesting how quickly a student gains confidence once they stop translating word for word. I treat every lesson as a chance to refine your ear and your tongue simultaneously. I find that hobbyists and kids thrive when they see how these skills connect to their own lives. I enjoy guiding you through these linguistic shifts as if we were just chatting in a cafe.
