About Elijah
I was pretty good at ‘winning’ nursing school. I got strong As and Bs with less time spent studying, and I managed to balance my life outside of school. I tested well, and my biggest fears were not academic, but just showing up on time.
This isn’t to brag though- It’s to say that I believe there’s simply a method to the madness when it comes to nursing school. My classmates would accuse me of being a genius, but I would disagree. My reasoning being that nursing school can be a lot of hype- it’s easy to feel like you will not pass if you do not read the textbook, or that you must study 5 hrs a day to be successful. I think that’s simply not the case but I’ve found all too often students still get lost in the sauce- understandably so.
I’ve found that I’ve come to really enjoy being in the roles of mentor/educator and I’m excited to be able to grow in that. It’s very rewarding to find someone where they are at and help them get where they need to go, even if I’m learning it myself.
