About Kaya

I am a recent University of Cambridge law graduate now pursuing a career as a secondary English literature and language teacher. I take a strong pedagogy-informed approach as an educator, and am a specialist in exam technique and mark schemes. I hold an A* in English Literature at A-level, and 11 A-A* GCSEs, including A* English Language and A English Literature. I have an enhanced DBS certificate.

About the lesson

1 hour long, £30 per hour online, £40 per hour in person (BS1/BS2).

Lessons are tailored to needs, informed by a diagnostic first lesson in which we explore a piece of written work produced by the student in a classroom environment.

I create a collaborative long-term or short-term plan, depending on preferences, utilising problem-focused active learning strategies and informed heavily by exam technique and mark scheme requirements of both English literature and language.

Also available to support and guide students through all stages of the Oxbridge and Russell Group application process, and have built a strong track record of students gaining places at top universities.
