About Florence
Hello!
I'm an engaging and approachable tutor dedicated to the value of learning. I`m finishing my PhD in Classics at the University of Cambridge, where I gained a wealth of experience teaching undergraduates on various degree programs. My specialism is in all things ancient and I am passionate about teaching English Literature, History and Philosophy (GCSE - A-level), as well as Ancient Greek and Ancient History (GCSE - A-level).
Sessions are always student-driven and planned with their goals and needs in mind, whether that is exam, homework or coursework preparation. I take special care to vary sessions, consolidate learning within and across sessions, and develop and tailor my teaching style to students` feedback. Sessions might include close readings of set texts, discussing students` essays, source criticism and grammar tests.
