About Alessio
I know what it feels like to be a student facing challenging topics and tough exams - I’ve been there myself. That’s why I focus on guiding you step by step through difficult problems, helping you build confidence as well as understanding. As a Cambridge MPhil (Nuclear Energy) and Durham First Class MPhys graduate, I bring both academic expertise and the perspective of someone who is still a student too. I understand the pressures you’re under and how best to overcome them. Most importantly, I adapt my teaching style to suit you. Everyone learns differently, and I’ll work with you in the way that helps you learn best. I believe the best way to learn Maths and Physics is through practice. Theory is important, and I always explain concepts clearly, but you can’t learn to swim without getting wet. That means lessons focus on solving problems, applying knowledge, and building confidence step by step. A typical lesson lasts around an hour, though I’m flexible depending on the student’s needs. I often start by revisiting tricky areas, then move into guided practice with exam-style or tailored questions, finishing with a short recap to consolidate learning. I hold an MPhil in Nuclear Energy from the University of Cambridge and a First Class MPhys from Durham University. I specialise in teaching GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics, supporting students of all abilities.
