About Kimayar

Hi! My name is Maya, and I’m a third-year Electrical Engineering student with a strong academic background and a passion for helping others succeed in Math and Physics. I matriculated with Cambridge International Education, which gave me a solid foundation in problem-solving and analytical thinking—skills I now use both in my degree and in tutoring. I offer structured, supportive lessons tailored to each student’s level and learning style. Whether you're looking to strengthen your basics or push for top results, I’ll help you break down complex ideas into manageable steps. I’m fluent in English and French, and I teach in a clear, patient, and encouraging manner. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing the violin, baking, and going to the gym—so I understand the importance of balance and motivation when it comes to learning. About the lesson

As a private tutor, my goal is to help students truly understand the “why” behind math and physics concepts—not just memorize formulas. I focus on building a strong foundation, developing problem-solving skills, and boosting confidence through a step-by-step, student-paced approach. I adapt my teaching style to suit each learner’s needs, whether they need help catching up, preparing for exams, or pushing for top marks. I am fluent in English and able to teach in a clear, structured, and conversational style that encourages students to ask questions and think critically. A typical lesson includes a quick review of key concepts, working through examples together, and guided practice with exam-style questions. I also provide tips for approaching problems logically and managing time under test conditions. My lessons are aimed at high school students (Grades 8–12), especially those following the IEB, CAPS, or Cambridge curricula. Whether you’re struggling or aiming to excel, I offer patient, relatable support with insight from my current Electrical Engineering studies.
