About Kian

Hi, I’m Kian—a friendly, experienced tutor with a strong academic background and a real passion for helping students achieve their potential. I hold a First-Class degree in Politics and I am currently studying my Master’s at the University of Cambridge, where I specialise in the ethics of law, technology, and human rights. Alongside my studies, I’ve worked at the United Nations, the UK Parliament, and in legal aid, giving me a practical understanding of how law and politics work in the real world. I bring this experience into every lesson, making complex ideas clear, engaging, and relevant. I’ve worked with students from GCSE to university level, helping them to grow in confidence, improve their grades, and gain places at top universities. I take pride in creating a calm, supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, challenge themselves, and enjoy learning. Whether you’re aiming for top grades, need help catching up, or want support with university applications, I’ll work with you to build the skills and confidence you need to succeed.

About the lesson

I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, learning style, and confidence level. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into accessible parts and encouraging students to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and engage deeply with the material. Most lessons are 60 minutes, with flexible timings available for intensive sessions or revision support. I am a current Masters student at the University of Cambridge in AI Ethics, I hold a First-Class BA in Politics, and have professional experience at the United Nations, Parliament, and legal organisations. I’ve tutored a wide range of students from secondary school to university, and love helping learners achieve more than they thought they could. I offer tutoring in the following subjects and levels: GCSE English Language and Literature – essay writing, close reading, exam technique, and analytical skills GCSE Mathematics – foundation and higher tier, with a focus on problem-solving, core concepts, and exam preparation A-Level Politics – UK and US politics, political theory, exam skills, and developing strong argumentative essays A-Level Law – criminal law, tort, human rights, and legal systems, with focus on case law application and clear legal reasoning Undergraduate Politics and Social Sciences – political theory, international relations, political economy, social theory, academic writing, and critical reading skills I can also assist with university applications, including Oxbridge personal statements, interview preparation, and essay competitions.
