About Poppy
I am a languages student at the University of Cambridge and an experienced private tutor currently living in Italy. I have experience both teaching in a formal setting (work in community schools in Senegal, West Africa) and providing online 1-1 sessions with students of various ages and backgrounds. I typically provide 1-hour sessions entirely catered to each student's needs. I aim to incorporate various elements of language use (vocabulary, grammar, writing, listening, conversation, etc.), with particular focus on those that pose challenges. My lessons are always interactive - as a language learner of many years, I know how important it is to really USE it, in all its contexts. I have experience teaching both French and English to foreign speakers while living and working in schools and youth education centres in Senegal with limited resources, so I know how to get creative with my teaching and adapt quickly to each student's learning style, whatever the level/age.
