The advantage of one to one tutoring is that any methodology is determined by the student's needs and lessons are adapted to the individual. I would try to build up the student's confidence focusing on close textual reading, contextual understanding both of genre and historical period, and essay writing skills that are directed to an exam board's requirements. Above all, I try to foster an enjoyment of intellectual engagement
