About Lucy

I bring a unique blend of academic grounding and real-world experience to my teaching. As a Cambridge entrepreneur and strategist, I have spent the last several years building businesses, advising founders and guiding creative professionals through periods of growth and transition. Alongside my work in strategy and innovation, I have written extensively on philosophy, psychology and human connection, developing a style that is clear, insightful and approachable. My professional journey has taken me across multiple sectors and disciplines, from education and healthcare to technology and the creative industries. This breadth of experience allows me to see patterns others might miss and to translate complex ideas into lessons that are both engaging and practical. I have worked with individuals at many different stages of their personal and professional lives, which means I understand how to adapt my approach to meet each learner’s needs. Above all, I value curiosity, clarity and confidence. My role as a tutor is not simply to share knowledge, but to create a space where students feel supported, inspired and equipped to think in new ways.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. My approach is conversational, exploratory and practical, combining structured learning with open discussion. I use real-world examples, thought experiments, and interactive exercises to make complex ideas feel relevant and exciting. Students are encouraged to ask questions, challenge assumptions and connect what they learn to their own life or work. Lesson Format A typical lesson lasts around 60–90 minutes, giving us space to explore ideas in depth without rushing. Sessions can be tailored to focus on a particular theme or follow a guided curriculum designed around the learner’s goals. Qualifications & Experience I am a Cambridge entrepreneur and strategist with experience founding and advising businesses, leading workshops and mentoring founders. My background allows me to bridge academic insight with practical application, making sessions both intellectually stimulating and grounded in real-world use. Who the Lessons Are For My lessons are for curious individuals of any age who want to expand their thinking, explore philosophy and the humanities, or sharpen their strategic and creative skills.
