About Ikrama Jerin
Hello! I’m Ikrama, and I’m here to guide you through your English learning journey.
Working with students of different ages and proficiency levels has helped me understand that no two learners are quite the same. I enjoy getting to know my students, understanding what they need and finding ways to make learning more interesting and meaningful.
With an MA in English, Secondary background in Science and experience as a civil services aspirant, I bring a wide range of topics, ideas and perspectives into my classes. I believe this makes learning a language more engaging—whether we’re exploring Literature, working on Grammar, improving Spoken English or developing Academic English skills.
As a second-language learner myself, I understand the challenges that can come with learning English. My Cambridge CELTA (Level 5) training has further strengthened my ability to plan and deliver effective, learner-centered lessons. I also hold a National Certificate in Soft Skills, which has helped me communicate effectively and adapt to different learning styles and needs.
I believe that when the approach is right, the subject becomes accessible. A difficult text becomes easier to understand, a complex concept begins to click, and a language starts to feel like your own. My job is to help you find that approach.

English is best learned when you actually use it.
That is why I personalize my lessons so that learners can relate to what they are learning, rather than simply memorizing.
My approach is to first understand each student's learning needs. Accordingly, I plan, adapt and deliver my lessons. My classes involve less teacher lecturing and more student activity.
