About Hernandez

I’m from Puerto Rico and studied at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez.
My relationship with Spanish is both academic and lived, shaped by formal study as well as everyday experience. Because of this, I approach teaching with care and intention, valuing understanding over memorization and depth over speed.

I believe language learning should feel grounded and humane. In my lessons, I focus on helping students understand how Spanish works — its structure, rhythm, and meaning — while also exploring the cultural context that gives the language its life. Grammar and vocabulary are taught clearly and thoughtfully, always connected to real usage and conversation.

I’m patient by nature and attentive to how each student learns. Whether you are a beginner, returning to Spanish after time away, or seeking academic support, I aim to create a calm, supportive space where confidence grows naturally. My goal is not just fluency, but a genuine connection to the language that feels lasting and personal.
