About Sarah

I’m a Clinical Pharmacy graduate from Cairo University with a 3.8 GPA, ranked 13th in my graduating class, and recognized on the Honors List. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry, as well as their applications in pharmaceutical and health sciences.

Over the years, I’ve worked with students from different academic backgrounds, particularly college and university students studying Organic and General Chemistry. I also tutor Dental and Nursing students, as well as students transitioning into Pharmacy programs, helping them build the chemistry foundation they need for more advanced courses.

I genuinely love questions. I want students to stop me, ask why, challenge an explanation, and tell me when something still doesn’t make sense. If there’s a gap in the basics, we go back and start from the very beginning, break the concept down, and build it up step by step.

My lessons are built around active recall and practice rather than passive listening. We divide each topic into smaller sections, and after each section, we stop for questions and exercises to make sure the concept is understood before moving on to the next.

At the end, I provide summarized mind maps to help connect and review the key concepts, along with a practice worksheet that students can work through independently after the lesson.

My goal is for students to leave a session not just thinking, “That made sense when it was explained to me,” but feeling, “I can actually solve this on my own.”

With a strong academic background in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry. I offer personalized Organic Chemistry I & II tutoring for college and university students, whether you need help understanding a difficult chapter, catching up with your course, solving assignments and worksheets, or preparing for an exam.

I also teach General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry courses for Dental and Nursing students, including students transitioning into Pharmacy programs who need to strengthen their chemistry foundation or prepare for more advanced pharmaceutical courses.

Organic Chemistry can quickly feel like a long list of reactions to memorize. My approach is different: I focus on helping you understand why reactions happen and how to recognize patterns, so you can solve unfamiliar problems rather than simply memorize answers.

I break down difficult concepts and mechanisms step by step using clear explanations and examples before moving into practice. During the lesson, we solve exercise questions together, where I guide you through the reasoning and gradually encourage you to solve problems independently.

We can work directly from your professor’s lecture slides, worksheets, assignments, practice exams, or study guides, making the lesson closely aligned with your actual course. After our session, I can also provide a practice sheet with additional questions for you to complete independently, helping reinforce what we covered and identify areas that still need work.

Topics can include reaction mechanisms, SN1/SN2/E1/E2, stereochemistry, resonance, acidity and basicity, alcohols, ethers, epoxides, alkenes and alkynes, aromatic compounds, carbonyl chemistry, nomenclature, multi-step synthesis, and other topics based on your curriculum.

My background in Clinical Pharmacy and Medicinal Chemistry also allows me to connect Organic Chemistry concepts to real pharmaceutical and healthcare applications when helpful. My goal is to make Organic Chemistry feel logical and structured rather than overwhelming, and to help you become confident solving problems independently.
