About Marilena
I started my carer as nurse, followed by a move onto teaching and counselling. My latest achievement being a degree in Business Management with a great interest in motivational speaking and coaching.
I have consistently tutored students throughout my A-levels, university studies and professional life in Mathematics, languages such as French and English, as well as the applied sciences.

I generally start a lesson by introducing myself and giving a brief overview of the topics to be covered in the lesson.
After the introduction, I dive into the lesson, making sure to define any complicated terminology, ideas or systems. I try to find day-to-day applications for the ideas/lessons being taught so that the lesson becomes easier for students to comprehend.
I use a variety of mnemonics, rhymes and other fun and easy methods to encourage memorisation and association of concepts and theories.
To sum up and reinforce a lesson, I like to review the topics covered in the lesson and, on occasion I use small tests to test understanding and comprehension of the topics covered during the lesson.
If the student is a returning student I like to encourage further reading and on occasion I assign reading and homework for any upcoming topics to be covered.
