About Tessa

I am a guitar tutor, composer, and performer with 3 years of teaching experience. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Composition with a Guitar Emphasis. Teaching allows me to share what music has given me—a lifelong skill and creative outlet. I specialize in acoustic fingerstyle and classical guitar performance. These styles invite students into the world of intricate arrangements and delicate expression. I welcome both beginners learning the basics and advanced musicians shaping their artistry. Every lesson is a chance to explore sound and creativity. I place equal importance on technique and musical feeling. Students are guided to not only play notes but also tell stories through music. I use my experience as a composer to encourage original ideas and personal growth. Lessons are practical, patient, and encouraging. I want every student to see the guitar as both an instrument and a companion.

About the lesson

I teach guitar by combining solid technique with genre exploration. This means you’ll learn how to adapt your playing to funk, jazz, country, or even heavy metal. Each style demands unique skills, from rhythm patterns to tone control. Learning them opens your ears to new possibilities. I believe versatility is what makes a guitarist truly powerful. I also guide recording artists who need fresh approaches in their work. Lessons are built on exercises that feel practical and fun. We use improvisation and arrangement to spark creativity. Every session is designed to bring confidence and discovery. Music is a lifelong adventure, and I’m here to guide you through its many paths.
