About Vincenza

I am Vincenza, a 22 year old who has just graduated from the University of Toronto. My parents are Chinese but I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have more than 5 years of tutoring experience in Spanish as well as basic Chinese for Spanish speaking people. One of the biggest things I learned about learning anything is that it needs to be fun! Especially learning a language! I am very responsible and hard working and one of the joys in life is hearing someone be able to speak a language you grew up speaking. I am determined to see the results of my teaching!

About the lesson

I would start by learning the basics like grammar, but I believe speaking is the most important. Most people learn Spanish in high school and through university but they are almost always too afraid to speak a word when it comes to having conversations with another Spanish speaking person. I believe learning a language should not be a mechanical translation from your language but rather a natural flow of being able to speak and then gradually learning to read and write at the same time. This type of system would make learning meaningful, less dull and overall more rewarding.

My typical lesson plan would be a bit of conversation intertwined with reading, writing and grammar. I would also love to introduce you to my culture (my Argentinian part) and talk about music and food as well! A modo Argentino papa!
