About Michelle

I am an aspiring primary school French and history teacher, having just graduated with a 2:1 degree in French from the University of Nottingham! I plan on undertaking my teacher training by 2024.

I am patient, sunny, creative, and practical. I am also DBS checked. I enjoy teaching children and helping them to expand their horizons by learning a new language in a number of fun and exciting ways. When I'm not tutoring, I love art, craft, reading and writing!

I am based in Kingston upon Thames, London.

About the lesson

I am a French tutor for ages 6-14. In teaching, I always encourage questions, incorporate games and other learning resources that make learning fun and interactive. I am sunny, creative, patient and enthusiastic and make an effort to let my students be the same!

I believe learning a language should be fun and exciting and should be taught at the pace of the student. This is why I personalise all my lessons and approaches with each student to ensure they are learning at a pace they find comfortable.

At the start of every lesson, lesson objectives are shared with students and students also have a say in what they would like to learn during our lessons. This helps them take an active interest in learning.

In addition to this, I also write reports for parents/carers in order for them to follow the student's progress. These are sent to parent's weekly. Lessons are typically an hour long, and can be done at the home of the student or online. The frequency of lessons can be discussed.
