About Maria
I have seen how good mentorship can help develop students' skills and knowledge. I enjoyed precepting nursing students, and new graduate nurses in the hospital setting as well as in my current practice. In addition to clinical settings, I also got a chance to teach a Laboratory nursing class at Santa Fe College. I enjoy when a student is able to apply what they have learned in real life experiences. We need to see more people succeed, and love the profession.

I struggled a lot with critical care when I was studying for my certification. Maria broke it down for me in an easy to follow manner that I ended up understanding the concepts rather than just memorizing it.
