About Joel
My name is Joel Yates and I am a first year BSc Finance student at the London School of Economics. Maths is such an amazing subject because it is so simple but yet so complex and I want to project my passion for maths onto as many students as I can. I can promise that whether my students come out of my lessons having perfected a topic or not, they will always come out feeling more positive, confident and reassured. Maths is tricky but with the right guidance, everyone can achieve the success they want to and the rewarding feeling that comes alongside that.

My tutoring lessons are designed to help students aged 15-18 in tackling the challenges of GCSE and A-level maths, regardless of ability. I have lots of experience within maths, with 9s in GCSE maths and further maths as well as an A* in A-level maths, and I’m excited to help others achieve the same. My lessons are typically between 1-2 hours but timing is flexible and I always adopt a kind and patient approach to teaching because I want my students to enjoy what they’re doing and have as positive an impact as I can on them.
