About Isaiah
One of the most important things when trying to learn and improve academically is looking for any opportunity to do so. Even as a teacher and tutor, I assure you that a couple of years ago, I was exactly in your shoes, and it was due to the support of the people around me as well as my own self-motivation thatI was able to grow and accomplish much with the resources and time I was given. Given that you are looking for a tutor at this moment, it's clear that you are on the same path of looking for improvement and any chance to improve yourself you can find. As an Ivy-League admit and California Speech and Debate Champion, I've been inspired to help the next generations of students and learners to ease the process, open doors, and hone my own skills as a teacher as well. My approach as a tutor and teacher is quite simple: we will be systematically approaching writing, speaking, and many other types of subjects based on principle. By establishing theoretical lessons early on and THEN developing drills and practice, associated performance and independence will skyrocket. My lesson plans typically consist of a couple minutes of rhetoric and outlining what we will go over, then looking at what the student will be looking to work on and practice for the session, before finally diving into drills and practice. I believe that my results and performance speak for themselves when it comes to other tutors as well as my experience as a tutor in the space. I typically aim to teach middle school and high school students that are highly motivated, willing to learn, and excited to grow!
